how to survive in Germany, Deutschland without cultural barriers, best and worst of Germany
It took two months to get an answer from TUI, a very well known travel agency in Germany. We used to buy vacation packages from this agency long before moving to Germany. Because travelling with German agency meant nice planes, good hotels, rooms with the best views, nice neighbours, mainly Germans and a not a very high price.
Sadly, this summer the TUI miracle was broken and all the tourists travelling in the same flight ended up in another hotel in the middle of nowhere.
I remembered that one of the things we learned in German classes was how to write a claim letter. And funny enough, the one we trained on was the letter claiming about the problems in the hotel!
One, two, three, the claim was completed and sent out. Sadly, after two months the letter was a waist of time to read and a waist of cartridge to print. They said they would transfer our complaints to the management of the hotel. And I am sure and my cotravellers were too, that the problem was caused by the management of the hotel!
